Our Mission
Igniting Curiosity & Unveiling Creativity
Scientific Community [EST. 2020], a students’ established Community is an interdisciplinary, interactive Platform that works to present science in an easily digestible and delicious style. It helps Students to express science artistically & in layman term. Our 2000+ audience (all over India and abroad including Students, Research Scholars & Professors) is connected to us through WhatsApp groups & Social Media. Participants share lots of information & opportunities, daily happenings, new findings and events encircling the fields of Sci-Tech. This bunch of enthusiastic crowd is helping us to prove the ideology of “Each One Teach One” benefiting each other broadening their horizon of knowledge by sharing, chatting and thinking science.
We help students to express science in lay terms in a variety of mediums. Whether it a tribal art painting explaining a neuron firing or an Instagram post explaining the mechanism of twinkling stars; An article dedicated to psychological autopsy or a poem wandering about nature’s hidden pattern; tweeting out a Twitter thread tracing the energy of the photons to Planck’s constant or testing your humorous bone in form of memes and comics. There is no bondage in the ways and ideas you want to showcase your Science. Each eye with a different perspective and a new story of SCIENCE.
Our Features
Our Story
Youth is full of energy and vigor, arising a need to channelize this zeal in the right direction to utilize the infinite & immense potential that youth possess.
SCIENTIFIC COMMUNITY is the initiative of a student who wanted a smarter, interactive and livelier way to showcase Science, Dhairya Rajguru (Founder- Scientific Community) with a VISION to work for Science Communication globally and never let there be a knowledge gap on account of- geography, peer hierarchy or socio-economic status.
He wished to create a science platform where no one hesitates to express their ideas and are provided with insurmountable support from peers and superiors. The idea to start a community struck Dhairya`s head when he was facing the battles of self-doubt, insecurities, and hesitation to approach. He initially founded a community in the year 2017. But unfortunately, it failed. But this fall didn’t affect his vision to create a chain-reaction of happy learning. Now with a determined mindset, proper planning & converging lots of contacts scattered in various fields, He is back with the SCIENTIFIC COMMUNITY.
The community came into existence with a WhatsApp group. It gathered multidisciplinary science freaks. It grew day by day forming multiple groups connecting more people interested in conversing Science. When it reached a point of more than 1000 participants, we realized that communicating science is what people need. So we decided to start a website, providing every science-enthusiast a space to express their ideas globally & a way to connect with us.
Our Admin Team consists of Students from Various Science backgrounds (All our Team members are listed below). As a team with an analytical & scientific mind working for Science Communication was a definite plus, but to create a website we lacked a web designer. Being a student-run community, we lacked capital funds to hire any Web-Designer, on top of buying a domain and hosting name for publishing a website. The founder, Dhairya Rajguru took it upon himself to develop the Scientific Community website. He designed this website himself with the help of his sparkling team members. He says- The community didn’t have any funds to hire a web designer. Being a Biology student, I did not have any experience in coding & Web designing. I was really confused. I contacted my Computer Science friends for help but it didn't work well. So, I finally decided to make the website by myself. It wasn’t easy. We encountered many hurdles. My strong determination and constant support from my team made the website designing successful. Our website is helping you to express your ideas and is connecting you globally. Dhairya adds, "Setting up this Community & Website has been a learning experience for me. Perseverance truly is the Key to Success." This wonderful website exposed our student community to the Wonder World of Science
The journey to reach here was not easy and the journey ahead is not easy either. We shoulder the responsibility of entertaining our mass of 2000+ audience scientifically and keeping them updated. But we are here, for a long haul with sheer will and determination and crazy ideas for this ever-growing Scientific Community. Hoping to get your Love and Science...
